「You‘re history」是什麼意思？

be history

在口語中，可以用來表示：

完蛋，死定了

所以 You‘re history = You’re dead / You‘re screwed

意思是：你完蛋了。

例：

A： I forgot my girlfriend‘s birthday. I didn’t get any gifts.

我忘記女朋友的生日了，什麼禮物都沒準備。

B： You‘re history！

你完蛋了！

be history還可以表達： 成為歷史了；已經過去了

常用來表示：戀情、婚姻已經結束了

例：

A： What about Dan， are you still seeing him？

那麼丹呢？ 你還在和他交往嗎？

B： Oh， he‘s history.

噢，他已經是歷史了。

「the rest is history」是什麼意思？

the rest is history = 後來的事是盡人皆知的

如果老外說這句話

就表示接下來發生的事TA已經知道了

例：

The Beatles had their first hit record in 1962 and the rest is history.

甲殼蟲樂隊于1962年推出了他們的第一張暢銷唱片，後來的事大家都知道了。

「have history」是什麼意思？

have history可以表達 「有交情，以前就認識」

也可以說成get history

例：

We had history. We met at college ten years ago.

我們之間有交情。我們十年前在大學認識的。

「case history」是什麼意思？

case history = 病歷；案例記錄

例：

The report was written after analysing data from the case histories of thousands of patients.

這份報告是在對幾千位患者的病歷進行分析之后撰寫的。

「life history」是什麼意思？

life history = life story 生平；生命史

例：

The last time you sat me next to Sally I had to hear her whole life story！

上次你安排我坐在Sally旁邊，我不得不聽她講自己的整個人生經歷！
