如果聽到「You‘re a star」

可能大多人心里都會先笑一下

這是在夸我有明星像嗎？

咳咳…雖然這句話也是在夸人

但往明星上想就有點過了……

You‘re a star. 是什麼意思？

劍橋英語詞典里對「 You‘re a star」是這樣解釋的：

「

something you say to someone when they have been nice and helpful to you

即： 當別人對你好，對你有幫助時，你跟他們說的話。

所以當老外對你說：You‘re a star.

其實是在夸你： 你真是個大好人。

=It‘s very nice of you.

相當于我們常說的：

你真是我的大救星。

如果你真是明星名人

「You‘re star.」也可以是「你是大明星。」

這里的star=明星。

see stars 不是「看星星」

看星星是一件很浪漫的事情

但是 see stars卻是讓人很難受

這個短語的真正意思是： 頭暈眼花，眼冒金星

如果你想看天上的星星

可以說l ook at the stars 或者 watch stars

如果是類似賞月的看

還可以說 appreciate the stars

可不要用see stars，免得引起誤解

也可以是名詞

He just wants you as a guest star.

他只是請你去客串。

②new star／rising star

star的主要意思是「星星，明星」

new star就可以表示「新發現的星球；新秀，新星」

廣告代理商都在竭力吹捧這名新星。

③star turn

意思是：主要演員，主要環節

The star turn in that movie is really charming. I have a big crush on him.

那部電影中的主演很有魅力。我很喜歡他。

④shooting star

最后學一下很多人喜歡看的流星

「流星」= shooting star （或meteor）
