很多人都知道斗牛這項運動

斗牛士揮舞著紅布

當牛看到紅色的布（ see red）就會發怒

現在這個表達延伸用于

形容一個人被激怒、發火的情況

例：

People who don‘t finish a job really make me see red.

我最討厭別人干活有始無終。

He saw red when a truck dented his new car.

看到卡車撞到他的新車，他火冒三丈。

還有一個顏色purple（紫色）也能表達生氣

be （go） purple with rage= 氣得臉色發紫，非常的生氣

例：

When I asked him to pay me what he owed， he went purple with rage.
